'For Party Animals Only': Sony Shake'5 Up Music

Sony Shake-5 is your neighbours worst nightmare

Hold on to your hats, Sony has released it next gen home audio for the smartphone generation - Shake-5 - with Bluetooth and 'one touch' NFC technology for instant music transfer.     

With 'touch 'n tap' Near Field Communication (NFC) technology, party-goers can share playlists from their smartphone or other device just by touching their NFC capable device (including Samsung S4) to SHAKE-5. 

Sony promises it will 'Shake' users up - literally "delivering sounds that vibrate through to your bones," and will pump out a hopping 2400W RMS sound.  

It also recreate that disco feel via 20+ Multi-LED lighting effects that sync with music playing. 

The audio powerhouse also has a DJ Effect feature that create your very own remixes with 4 four mixing effects - Flanger, Isolator, Sound Flash and Phaser.  

It also boasts 2 X USB ports, which allow users play music from one USB device and record music from a variety of sources onto another device.   

However, at $1,199 this is for serious music fans only. SHAKE-5 is the newest addition to Sony's powerful MU.TE.KI. audio family that includes multi-channel home theatres and iPod docks.   

It goes on sale from mid-August. 

"These days, almost everyone owns a smartphone and is accustomed to sharing content they love with friends and family, said Hass Mahdi, Marketing Manager of Home Entertainment at Sony Australia 

"So Sony introduced NFC functionality to the SHAKE-5 to let party-goers share their favourite songs with one touch of their smartphone to the device."
