#Droid War: Samsung S4 To Gatecrash HTC One?

"We'd like to invite you to celebrate the launch of the Galaxy S 4 at an exclusive evening event at the iconic Sydney Opera House," on April 23, a Samsung invite to media sent today read.

And if the S4 is anything like the S III launch in May last year, which went on sale the same day of launch Samsung could possibly be planning to totally gatecrash its Android rival, HTC One, hailed as one of the best smartphones ever, which is to go on sale the same day as S4 launch, on April 23 (pre-sale kicks off today).

The HTC One release date was announced just yesterday.

Although the S4 launch is taking place at 6pm all eyes will be on Samsung's hero phone, and may take some of the spotlight away from HTC, who are fighting hard to stay in the smartphone race.

When it was launched in US last month, Samsung OZ said Galaxy S 4 will be available from Q2, declining to give specifics on dates.

The Galaxy S4 has a 5 inch Full HD Screen with 440 pixels per inch, 4G LTE, WiFi, remote control functionality, 13MP rear camera and 2MP front cam.

It ships with 2GB of RAM, comes in 16, 32 and 64GB of memory, along with an expandable memory slot.

Cool tricks that come with S4 include photos can store sound data, scroll pages with your eye, waving your hand will flip through pages, monitor your weight, and even has a personal cloud service.
