BlackBerry keyboard diehards are rejoicing.


The keyboard and touch-ready BlackBerry Q10 now comes in faster 4G speeds. 

Telstra today announced that the "classic" BlackBerry Q10 with touchscreen and QWERTY keyboard will hit telco town on July 2, starting at $60 for plans. 

The 3.1 inch touchscreen 4G BlackBerry Q10 has a 1.5 GHz dual core processor, 8MP camera, 16GB internal storage (you can add additional 32GB) and runs the new BlackBerry 10.1 operating system.

It also has the unique BBM Messenger text voice and video chat, and screen sharing with other BlackBerry 10 contacts.

Its 2100mah battery also promises longer life.The smartphone has HD Voice for clearer calls when phoning another HD Voice handset.  

Telstra says its 4G coverage is "on track to reach 66 per cent of Australians by 30 June".

The BlackBerry 10.1 operating system lets users separate work and personal content - protecting privacy.

Telstra Business customers can get Q10 at Telstra stores on the $60/mth plan (+11 handset repayment) with $600 calls and MMS, unlimited SMS and 1GB of data.  

There are also similar consumer plans for $60.

The BlackBerry Q10 is not compatible with BES or BIS plans and customers who take up the BlackBerry Q10 will not be able to take up BES or BIS plans.
