Nexus 5 Sees Red

The "bold statement" red and white Nexus 5's are now on sale Google Play.

Made by LG in collaboration with the Android-creator, Nexus 5 is the first Google phone to be offered in three colors: red, white and black, the original launch shade.

It costs A$399 for 16GB, $449 for 323GB a pretty good price for specs: 5-inch Full HD display, quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor, 8mp camera, runs Android 4.4, KitKat.

Launched last October, globally, Nexus 5 is also available at Telstra on a $69 plan, or for a tres pricey $696 outright, almost $300 more than Google Play's price.

"The Nexus line has always been about doing things differently and consumers who share this philosophy have been our most loyal fans," said Dr. Jong-seok Park, CEO of LG Mobile.

"We're carrying this thinking over to the red Nexus 5, which we think will catch the eye of consumers who want to make an even bolder statement."
