A brand new high end Claritas media centre with 4GB of memory and 1 TB drive has been introduced at sub $3,000. Designed to be the hub of a home entertainment network the new Claritas Elite 14.2 VFD can also be used as a central management system for a home automation network.

A brand new high end Claritas media centre with 4GB of  memory and 1 TB drive has been introduced at sub $3,000. Designed to be the hub of a home entertainment network the new Claritas Elite 14.2 VFD can also be used as a central management system for a home automation network.

The Claritas Elite 14.2 VFD media center comes with an Intel Dual Core 3Ghz CPU, 1terrabyte SATAII hard drive, 4Gb of RAM, Hauppauge digital dual  HD tuner, native HDMI v1.3 support, Logitech diNovo mini keyboard with touchpad, Sony DVD burner, built in media card reader.

It also has a neat new touch screen front panel vacuum fluorescent display which eliminates the need for a monitor along with Microsoft Windows Vista Home Premium.
 
 The new model is available in silver or black brushed aluminum and is designed to sit alongside rack mounted audiophile home theatre equipment.
