Now Pure has released an affordable, internet-connected digital radio using the company's Flow technology, which is also tipped as an ideal travel companion.

The ONE Flow is the cheapest internet connected model the company has released, and joins four other models in Pure's ONE family, the Classic, Elite, Mi and Mini.

"ONE Flow achieves a new price in premium digital and internet radio, but it does so without compromise. So you get all the benefits of broadcast digital radio, plus new on-line content," says Graeme Redman, Managing Director of Pure Australasia Pty Ltd.

Using Wi-Fi to access internet radio stations and podcasts from around the world, ONE Flow provides 40 hours of portable listening per charge using Pure's optional rechargeable ChargePAK E1 which retails at $99.

The model's features include support for DAB digital radio standards, FM radio, unlimited internet favourites, 30 digital and FM presets, kitchen and sleep timers, 3.5mm input for an iPod or MP3 player, two easy-to-use alarms, headphone socket and a large LCD display.

ONE Flow has a black satin-touch finish with satin chrome dials. It also has an intuitive interface which includes a new home button for easy navigation to the source menu.

It retails at $249.

The Pure i-20 iPod/iPhone dock.
Meanwhile Pure has also released what it claims is a ground-breaking, hi-fi quality digital iPod dock, the i-20, which is said to be the only digital iPod dock available that supports all popular analogue video formats, (component, S-Video and composite).

The iPod/iPhone dock allows users to integrate their digital music and video collection into their hi-fi or AV system, using digital or analogue outputs.

When connected via the analogue output, the i-20's hi-fi quality DAC (Digital to Analogue Converter) ensures that the sound quality from high bit-rate compressed or uncompressed iPod tracks is delivered flawlessly.

Users can also view videos stored on their iPhone or iPod on their TV using video outputs.

Compact, sleek and ergonomically designed, the iPod/ iPhone charges while docked and can be controlled and navigated using the supplied remote control.

The i-20 extracts the digital signal from the iPod or iPhone and ensures that there is no compromise when connected to a quality digital amplifier or hi-fi system.

For its analogue output, i-20 again extracts the digital signal and uses its Cirrus 4353 hi-fi quality DAC and high-precision low-jitter clock to deliver true hi-fi audio performance levels with a -105dB signal to noise ratio,  better than -93dB THD+N and 2V RMS audio output from its 24-bit 192KHz digital audio processor.

The i-20 retails at $149.
