Another Departure From Sony

Nicolas Barendson, Sony's Head of Consumer Marketing,  is to leave Sony Australia, according to reports

Barendson took the reigns of Sony consumer marketing division in November 2011. He is set to remain at the company but transferred to a new position in the US.

His LinkedIn profile still lists his current role at Sony Oz.

Sony could not be contacted at the time of writing, and has not released any official statement on the issue.

CEO of Sony Australia, Carl Rose, departed company with the Bravia maker mid-July "to pursue new opportunities", after a six year reign at the top.

Sony appear to be on the road to recovery, however, unveiling slew of new technologies of late, including affordable 4K 'Ultra High Def' TVs,  'world thinnest' ultrabook and clever gadgets like 3D binoculars and mobile servers.
