Axis 1080p Smart Camera $330

Axis Communications have launched Axis M1025, indoor network camera with full HDTV 1080p quality or 2 megapixel resolution, in full frame rate. It is good for retailer stores, or small offices

The camera includes smart features like support for HDMI output (Micro) for live streaming onto a monitor at HDTV 720p; support for memory card to store videos; Corridor Format for surveillance of narrow corridors and aisles, and support for Power over Ethernet in addition to DC power.

"AXIS M1025 is the first full HDTV 1080p / 2 megapixel camera in the successful AXIS M10 Series. With this camera we have added support for HDMI output (Micro) and also Power over Ethernet," says Wai King Wong, Country Manager, South Pacific, Axis Communications.

"The HDMI output (Micro) will be useful for those retail stores where a public view monitor is required, and Power over Ethernet simplifies installation and saves time and cost. "

The new Axis is for small system surveillance users at home, security managers of small offices and retail stores.

AXIS M1025 Network Camera also has AXIS Video Hosting System with one-click camera connection, making it good for a hosted video solution.

It also works with AXIS Camera Companion IP video solution and supports multiple H.264 video streams.

The camera is supported by the industry's largest base of video management software through the Axis Application Development Partner Program, and Camera Station.

AXIS M1025 is planned to be available in Q1 2014 through Axis distribution channels at a suggested retail price of $330
