RayV, based in Los Angeles but with operations in Tel Aviv, helps manage video streaming to wireless gadgets and other devices for customers such as content providers, mobile operators and telecommunications carriers.

Yahoo CEO Marissa Mayer has been building up the company's video offerings to woo audiences and advertisers and help drive a turnaround at the company where she took control in 2012.

Mayer recently hired journalist Katie Couric as global anchor, and last month Yahoo announced two new comedy shows and a partnership with Live Nation to stream a live concert every day for a year.
