The Melbourne based distributor of Control4 and the Infinity range of Hi Fi and home theatre systems, Convergent Technologies has announced a major expansion of their operation with a move into car audio.

The Melbourne based distributor of Control4 and the Infinity range of Hi Fi and home theatre systems, Convergent Technologies has announced a major expansion of their operation with a move into car audio.
They have also announced the appointment of 4 new executives including a former executive of Control4 in the USA. Local appointments include Nathan Vlotis who will be responsible for product technical support, programming and project design.
Nathan comes from the IT industry where he has worked for companies such as Harris Technology, Netgear, D-Link and Telstra.  Nathan also has a strong A/V background which originated from his family's business, Campsie Hi-fi.
 Convergent Technologies believes that dealer education, training, support & satisfaction is paramount to industry success.  As our growth in NSW is placing more demand on support we have decided to employ a specialist programming support person to help facilitate our growth in that region.  With that in mind we are proud to introduce a new staff member
Nick Liebertone the Managing Director of Convergent Technologies said "After much evaluation we have decided to establish an automotive division selling the Infinity Car Audio range. We have spoken to several key automotive resellers and we have received an excellent response".
The range which is manufactured by Harman International includes such products as the Infinity Reference 7540a amplifier which can be configured for full-range or subwoofer speakers, and the four channels can be bridged down to two, offering 278 watts into two channels at 4 ohms.
A leading automotive reseller range said "I think the time is right to bring this range back into the market. It has the potential to be a niche high end brand".
