Sony Wrist Watch Controls Cameras

As wearable tech takes off, Sony unveils their Action Cam Live-View WiFi Remote Control for cameras.

The waterproof, wristwatch-style remote connects wirelessly to your Action Cam, for 'hands-off' operation when the camera is mounted on a helmet, or surfboard. It cost $149 and is on sale now.

It has a 1.5" colour LCD viewfinder which lets you stream live-view images straight from your camera, and lets users check their shots.

The wrist remote can also activate recording and change the camera settings.

The remote can be used as a conventional watch, displaying the current time and date.

Action Cam Live-View Remote Control is waterproof to depths of three metres, has a IPX8 rating, and is dust-proof and freeze-proof.

The Action Cam Live-View Remote can be used with a range of Sony cameras, including:

. QX10 & QX100 CyberShot lens style cameras

. A7 and A7R full-frame compact ILC cameras

. HDR-MV1 Music Video Recorder

. NEX-5T, NEX-5R and NEX-6
