Samsung Look To Galxy S1 Android Value Pack As Opposed To 4.0 Upgrade

By David Richards | Thursday | 29/12/2011

Samsung is set to offer an Android value pack as opposed to a full Android 4.0 upgrade for their Galaxy S 2.

The Korean Company went on the record earlier this month stating that it will not provide an Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich upgrade for the Galaxy S or 7-inch Galaxy Tab.

Now the Company is looking to appease owners with an "Android Value Pack" that will include a number of enhancements to both devices without the need for full-blown Android 4.0 update.

Among the proposed offering are improved web surfing, better multitasking, new widgets, camera improvements and more. Samsung Australia has not commented on the issue.
