Before plugging the adapter to an available port, users must first install the driver and software found on the CD. Restarting the computer will finish the installation and will allow a user to connect the secondary monitor to the adapter and then to the USB port. The unit comes with a D-Sub to DVI adapter, allowing users to hook up older monitors.
The Kensington Dual Monitor Adapter will automatically launch in your taskbar, allowing users to check for software/driver updates, adjust screen quality and resolution, rotate the screen (rotated left, rotated right, and inverted), change the monitor's ‘position' (right, left, above, below), or set the screen to clone, extend (DualView), or disable the device altogether. An advanced setting will allow users to go to the Windows Display settings.
